Paceline.club ("Paceline", "we", "us", or "our") is a United States based cycling platform that helps riders discover clubs and rides, and helps club managers operate their club presence online. Questions can be sent to [email protected].
We collect information you provide directly, including your name or username, email address, password credentials, profile details, club memberships, ride signups, posts, comments, feedback, uploaded media, and club administration data.
We may collect location-related information, including ZIP code, approximate coordinates from geocoding, and browser-provided location when you choose to use location-based features such as nearby clubs, maps, weather, and ride discovery.
We also collect technical and usage information such as IP address, browser type, device information, log data, session activity, security events, email delivery records, and interactions with Paceline features.
We use information to operate Paceline, authenticate users, show clubs and rides, manage memberships and dues workflows, provide weather and map features, send requested or account-related emails, improve the service, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, and communicate with users and club administrators.
Paceline may link to Stripe or club-managed payment pages for donations or club dues. Stripe and connected club accounts may collect payment details, email address, name, and other payment information. Paceline does not store full card numbers.
We share information as needed to operate the service, including with hosting providers, email providers, analytics or monitoring providers, payment providers, and club administrators for clubs you join or interact with. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer.
Paceline does not currently sell identifiable personal data. Paceline may use, disclose, license, or sell aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify you, such as trends about ride participation, club growth, geographic demand, or feature usage. If Paceline later decides to sell or share identifiable personal data, we will update this policy and provide legally required choices or consent controls before doing so.
Paceline is operated from the United States. If you access Paceline from outside the United States, your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other countries where our providers operate. Those countries may have privacy laws different from your country.
You can update much of your profile from your account settings. You can unsubscribe from optional email notifications in your profile. You can request privacy help by emailing [email protected].
You can delete your Paceline account from your profile. Account deletion removes your account and many associated records, but we may retain limited records where necessary for security, legal compliance, fraud prevention, payment records, backups, and legitimate operational needs. If you own a club, transfer or delete the club before deleting your account.
Inactive account data is generally kept until the user deletes the account or requests deletion. Some records may be retained longer where needed for security, audit, legal, backup, or operational purposes.
Paceline is intended for users who are at least 18 years old. Do not use Paceline if you are under 18.
We may update this policy as Paceline changes. The effective date above shows when this version was published.
